Welcome to ReadyBy. This Privacy Policy explains how ReadyBy ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards your information when you use our mobile application available on iOS and Android (the "App"). Please read this privacy policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this privacy policy, please do not use the App.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

Routine and Task Data: The App allows you to create routines and tasks with names, durations, and icons. This data is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.

Settings and Preferences: Your app preferences, including theme settings (light/dark mode), time format preferences, notification settings, and selected calendar, are stored locally on your device.

Calendar Data: If you choose to add routines to your device calendar, the App will request permission to access your calendar. Calendar events are created directly on your device and are not transmitted to external servers.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

Crash Reports and Diagnostics: We use Sentry, a third-party error monitoring service, to collect crash reports and diagnostic information. This helps us identify and fix bugs to improve the App. This data may include device type, operating system version, app version, and technical information about the crash. Crash data is stored on servers located in Frankfurt, Germany (within the European Union). Sentry does not collect personally identifiable information through our implementation.

Device Locale Information: The App accesses your device's locale settings to determine your preferred time format (12-hour or 24-hour) and first day of the week. This information is processed locally and is not transmitted externally.

2.3 Information Collected by Third-Party Services

In-App Purchases: We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions and in-app purchases for ReadyBy Premium. RevenueCat may collect information related to your purchases, including anonymous transaction identifiers and subscription status. Please review RevenueCat's privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy for more information about their data practices.

App Store Services: When you make a purchase or leave a review, the Apple App Store or Google Play Store may collect and process information according to their respective privacy policies.

3. Device Permissions

The App may request the following permissions:

Notifications: To send reminders about your routines and tasks. You can manage notification preferences in your device settings.

Calendar Access: To add routine events to your device calendar. This permission is only requested when you choose to use the calendar integration feature.

Haptic Feedback: To provide tactile feedback during interactions. No personal data is collected through this feature.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the App's functionality
  • Send you notifications and reminders that you have configured
  • Process and manage your subscription to ReadyBy Premium
  • Identify and fix technical issues and bugs
  • Understand how users interact with the App to improve user experience

5. Data Storage and Security

Local Storage: Your routines, tasks, and preferences are stored locally on your device. This data remains on your device and is not uploaded to external servers. We do not offer cloud backup or synchronisation at this time.

Data Export: The App allows you to share or export your routine data (e.g., via clipboard, sharing, or calendar export). When you use these features, you control where that data goes.

Security: We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

  • Sentry (sentry.io) — Error monitoring and crash reporting. Data is stored in Frankfurt, Germany (EU).
  • RevenueCat (revenuecat.com) — Subscription and purchase management.
  • Expo (expo.dev) — Development framework services including notifications and file system access.

Each third-party service has its own privacy policy governing its collection and use of data. We encourage you to review their policies.

7. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:

Service Providers: With third-party service providers who assist us in operating the App (as described in Section 6), subject to their privacy policies.

Legal Requirements: If required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.

Protection of Rights: To protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property, or that of our users or others.

8. International Data Transfers

The App is available worldwide. Crash report data is processed and stored on servers located in Frankfurt, Germany (within the European Union). Subscription data processed by RevenueCat may be transferred to and stored in the United States. Where data is transferred outside of the UK or EU, appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

9. Your Rights (UK, EU, and EEA Users)

If you are located in the United Kingdom, European Union, or European Economic Area, you have certain rights under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR, including:

  • Right of Access: You have the right to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to Rectification: You have the right to request correction of inaccurate personal data.
  • Right to Erasure: You have the right to request deletion of your personal data in certain circumstances.
  • Right to Restrict Processing: You have the right to request that we limit how we use your data.

10. Legal Basis for Processing (UK/EU Users)

We process your personal data on the following legal bases:

Contract: Processing necessary to provide you with the App and its features.

Legitimate Interests: Processing necessary for our legitimate interests in improving the App and fixing bugs, where these interests are not overridden by your rights.

Consent: Where you have given consent for specific processing activities, such as enabling notifications.

11. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for users aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information as quickly as possible. 12. Your Choices

Access and Delete Local Data: Your routine and task data is stored locally on your device. You can access, modify, or delete it directly within the App. Uninstalling the App will remove all locally stored data.

Notification Preferences: You can manage or disable notifications through your device settings or within the App.

Calendar Permissions: You can revoke calendar access at any time through your device settings.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the App and updating the "Effective Date" at the top. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
